I have ressurected the Simplex Repeater and have been working on a cwid'er for it.  The id'er was fairly easy to program, but am now working on the 10 minute timer.  Last night, I tested the timer at 5 minutes and it worked!!  I am using the built-in Timer 0 running with a 1 milisecond period.  It counts 60,000 ms to give me the 1 minute intervals, and increments the minutes to the number you select in the program.

The simplex repeater is one I built a few years ago and it was programmed in assembly language.  I have reprogramed it in 'C' to make it easier to incorporate the cw and timer functions.
If this proves successful, will probably send it up with the 2010 Balloon.  If we do, it will operate on 446.3 MHz with 100Hz pl tone input.

It is done!!  Grin
I added the code for the CW id and the code for the Timer 0 and everything seems to be working.
The repeater ID's on power up, and every 10 minutes thereafter, if there is any activity.  Otherwise it stays quiet.  I did not have to do anything to the circuit board as this was all done in software.

I am thinking of adding the Repeater to the project.  It will be operating on 446.300 Mhz with 100 Hz pl.
What do you think?
